Movement has always been important to Becky. She grew up a dancer and gymnast, was introduced to yoga during her undergraduate studies, and played professional roller derby. However, she didn’t start practicing yoga regularly until a back injury kept her from moving without pain. Yoga became a way for Becky to heal herself, and without even realizing that she needed it, yoga helped her to heal and grow not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. Because of these benefits, Becky fell in love with yoga and decided to immerse herself in it. She is a lifelong learner and teacher. Becky has her graduate degree in adult education and she knows that she learns best through teaching and doing. So in order for her to live and breathe yoga, she knew that she would need to teach it as well. Becky received her 200-hour teaching certification through Cloud Nine Yoga and continues to learn through her practice, classes, and students every day. She teaches yoga in hopes that she can share the gifts of this practice with her students, so that they may enrich their lives and reap the benefits.
